Formula 10.0.6 Skincare Review!

Hello everyone!

A few weeks back I received a super cute package from Formula 10.0.6 skincare full of fun goodies!

I've seen their products in Ulta but I never took the plunge and purchased them. I'm seriously regretting that now because their products have changed my skincare routine!

Now, before I start sharing my thoughts, I did realize something early on when I was testing these out. Some of them contain parabens which I try to avoid because of the risks they pose. I will go into greater detail of that when I get to those products that contain parabens.

Okay, they sent me an entire skincare line which was amazing! It includes everything from a cleanser to pore strips!

Starting out with the cleanser, it is their Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser. I LOVE this cleanser!

It smells super good and doesn't strip my skin to the point where I feel like I need extra moisturizer! It has a gel consistency and foams really nicely on my face.

I love the feeling it gives me when I rinse it off, it's like I can feel the bubbles fall off my face (if that makes sense)!

Next is a product that I was super excited about but once I realized it contains parabens, I shied away from. It is their Pores Be Pure Skin Clarifying Mud Mask.

I used this once before I checked the ingredients and it worked pretty well (sadly for me!). It absorbed all the excess oil I had around my nose and T-zone.

After I realized that it contained parabens, I gave it to a friend because she doesn't care about chemicals in her skincare. If you're like her, then you may like this mask!

Going in the order of how I would use these products, next their So Totally Clean Deep Pore Cleanser.

This toner has salisylic acid that helps control my acne prone areas like my forehead, nose and chin. It does have a drying effect, like most acne products, so after I apply this I follow up with moisturizer.

Overall, this is a very good toner/ acne control product. It has reduced my acne and leaves my skin looking fresh and clean.

Formula 10.0.6 also sent me a moisturizer that also contains parabens, but that's one of the reasons I'm not crazy about it.

It is their Seriously Shine Free Mattifying Oil Free Moistuizer. It is meant for oily skin, which I don't struggle with, so it made my skin feel really tight because it was absorbing oil that didn't exist!

This would work if you don't care about chemicals in your skincare (like with the mask) or have oily skin. :)

Last but not least, I was also sent pore strips! I've always wanted to try pore strips but I always felt like they were too expensive.

These pore strips also contain parabens, but I only use them for special occasions so I kept these!

These work really well at sucking all the nasty stuff from my nose, creating a nice clean surface for makeup :)

Well, that's it for my review on Formula 10.0.6's skincare! If you're ever at Ulta, definitely give them a look! They're super affordable and work really well :)

My Summer Bucket List!

Hello everyone!

I have a non-beauty related post for you today, I'm going to be sharing with you my Summer Bucket List! It's basically a list of all the things I can possibly get done within the next three or so months!

So, let's begin!

Oh wait, a little disclaimer, none of the following images are mine, I just included them (from google) to give a little detail and inspiration to my goals!

Okay, now we can begin!

1.) Decorate my driveway with sidewalk chalk!

This first goal is meant to let me act like a little kid again. Going into my senior year of college, I feel like I take myself a little too seriously sometimes, so maybe spending an hour or two just doodling in my driveway will help me chillax!

2.) Go on a nature hike

I've always loved going on walks and hikes so my goal is to take a nice long walk in the woods at least once this summer!

3.) Make a massive ice cream sundae

Everyone loves ice cream right?! I try to stay to a pretty healthy diet but once this summer I'm going to let my inner foodie say YOLO and make a massive ice cream sundae and enjoy every bite!

4.) Make a YouTube Video

I've attempted to do YouTube, only to take the video down ten minutes later, even if I only post one and leave it up, my goal is to post a video.

Leave a comment below if you think I should post a video and if you would watch it!

Also the picture I used is my favorite youtuber, Kathleenlights!

*BEWARE! I figured out how to add gifs to my posts so get ready for them! :)

5.) Lose 10 pounds

I go back to school in two months and since school has been so stressful as I've been getting closer to the end, I've gained a little weight as many students do!

My goal is to get into a harder workout routine and lose 10 pounds between now and September 9th when classes start again.

6.) Binge watch Pretty Little Liars and Friends

I've seen every episode of Pretty Little Liars, I've stayed current with it since I was 15 years old. I just like to re-watch it to try to make sense of it!

Also, I will be a fan of EZRIA for life! They need to get back together..again.

As for Friends, I've watched reruns on tv, however I've never watched the episodes in sequence. So far, I'm up to season three!

7.) Read 10 books Actually, I've already read two books (they were Catching Fire and Mockingkay, and they were both amazing!) so actually this goal should be "Read 8 books"!

No explanation needed. I love books :)

8.) Grow my nails

I've been really anxious lately with some personal problems so naturally my nail biting OCD comes back with vengeance and I'm living with stubs, not nails. I'm planning on following my own advice from my "How to Stop Biting Your Nails" post and grow them back before classes start!

9.) Rearrange my room (Completed 7/10/15)

For this goal, I'm going to channel my inner Mrs. Doubtfire (RIP Robin Williams) and recreate my room! I've already rearranged my furniture and once I get to the hardware store, my new laminate floors are going in!

I'm so excited to be transitioning my room into something functional for the super busy senior year I know I'm going to have!

10.) Have a Disney VHS marathon (Completed 7/16/15)

That is how I feel while bringing out my old Disney VHS tapes! I love binge watching all my favorite movies from my childhood, the previews for other movies and Disney World are pure nostalgia!

My top five movies are (not in order because that's too hard!): Pocahontas, Mulan, The Lion King, Tarzan, and Toy Story.

11.) Spend the entire day at the beach

The beaches where I live look nothing like this but a girl can dream right??

I actually really love the beaches where I live but a more tropical setting would be great too but most likely won't happen this summer!

12.) Hit 1000 Instagram followers!

This goal is kinda far fetched (gaining 500 followers in two months!) but I think with a lot of hard work and interaction, I can do it!

13.) Build a fort

I always loved camping out in forts as a kid!

14.) Dye my hair with kool aid! (Completed 7/12/15)

This turned out to be a EPIC fail! I tried it with blue and it barely showed up, even after a second try!

I've always been interested in doing this but never have! I'm not doing anything crazy like dip dying my hair, but some random pieces under my hair would be cute! Oh, and I want to do this with a turquoise blue!

15.) Get my nose pierced

This is something I've wanted to do for years so I figure why not this summer?

16.) Write a letter to Juliet in Verona (like from the movie "Letters to Juliet")

When I first saw this movie I wondered if I could actually write a letter to Juliet and receive a response, now I know I can!

17.) Have a full out DIY spa day complete with facials and foot scrubs:)

This one will probably be completed the day before classes start again so I can look my best!

18.) Tie Dye a t-shirt!

I've always sucked at Tie Dye but who knows, I'll do a few just to be safe!

19.) Bake rainbow cupcakes

This is just a fun activity for a rainy day when I can't be outside and want to challenge my baking skills!

20.) Watch a sunrise

And then go back to bed!

21.) Get henna done on my hand

I've never had henna done and its such a great accessory for any summer outfit that I want to try it!

22.) Walk on the beach and hunt for sea glass

Where I live there is a lot of sea glass and I've been seeing pictures of sea glass necklaces that are super cute so I figured I'd try to make one!

Okay guys, that is what I want to do with the rest of my summer! Comment down below what you're doing this summer or what you want to do!

E.L.F Essential Lipstick Review!

Hello everyone!

I hope you're all enjoying the summer weather that's finally here (at least where I live on the East Coast anyway)!

Today I reviewing E.L.F's Essential lipsticks! These are $1 a piece and come in a good range of colors! I picked up three pretty coral/pink/red shades that are perfect for summer. These lipsticks are super creamy and have great color payoff :)

Also, they all kind of smell like fruit punch, which is a good alternative to the crappy makeup smell many lipsticks have!

First up is the shade Seductive. This is a beautiful bright coral and has the best formula of all them!

It's thick, creamy and once it sets, it doesn't budge! It's the perfect shade for the summer weather and I've gotten tons of compliments on it! Also, it suits so many skin tones! It suited my winter skin and is also working nicely with my summer tan!

Next up is the shade Charming. This color is a mix of a dark rose and coral creating the perfect pinkish red shade!

This color is perfect for a fun summer makeup look. I wear this when I'm going out for lunch and other casual outings. I wore this color when I went grocery shopping the other day and the woman at checkout complemented me on it, so that was nice!

The last color I have is Posh. This is a nice red shade that isn't super bright or super dark.

Basically it's not an intimidating color which once again, makes it nice for casual settings or if you do a more intense eye look for a date or something, it would work for that as well!

Like most red and darker lipstick colors, this color does bleed so a lip liner is a must! Speaking of lip liners have any of you tried clear lip liner?

Let me know in the comments if you have!

Okay, those were my thoughts on ELF's Essential Lipsticks! These are very good lipsticks for people easing their way into makeup, and are also good for people who love lipstick and want to add to their collection! As always feel free to find me on social media, especially FACEBOOK where I'm hosting a giveaway at 100 followers! (Hint, hint!)

Eyes Lips Face "Eyebrow Treat and Tame" Review and Tutorial!

Hello everyone!

Today I bring you a review of E.L.F's "Eyebrow Treat and Tame". I used this product in the shade Medium for my Eyebrow Routine but recently I've found that I like using the shade Ash a lot more! I think it looks a lot more natural for everyday wear and matches my hair color better. Medium will probably work better in the winter when I darken my hair!

By the way, these are $3 a piece which I think is a great deal!

I bought Ash (bottom) and Medium (top)!

At first I thought the clear side was a setting gel but then I realized the name was "Treat and Tame" so one side of it must "treat" and one must "tame". I'm not the type of person to read directions but I went back and the clear side is supposed to treat your eyebrows to help them grow.

I'm not sure if this is true because I've only used it a handful of times but it would be awesome if it did because my brows could use some serious help!

I am in love with the "tame" side of this product!

In the tame side, there is obviously a tinted gel, but also some little hairs that would help fill in the sparse parts of your brows even more than color would.

No product

One application

Two applications

After two applications and clean up with a Q-tip!

This product does an amazing job of being an everyday brow gel, meaning that it helps my brows look fuller but still natural which is what I like for everyday! :)

It reminds me a lot of Maybelline's Brow Drama  from the drugstore side and Benefit's Gimme Brow from the high end side. The only differences being that ELF's product has a different brush and a treatment.

NONE OF THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS ARE MINE! ALL CREDIT GOES TO THE OWNERS!

They're just here so you can compare the products because I don't own the Maybelline or Benefit products!

Okay, that's it for my review on ELF's Eyebrow Treat and Tame! Please comment down below telling me how you tame your brows and what your holy grail brow product is!

As always feel free to reach out to me on my social media! ALSO I'm going to have a GIVEAWAY on my Facebook page once it reaches 100 likes, so be sure to go over there and like my page!

Freeman's Avocado and Oatmeal Clay Mask Review!

Hello everyone!

Today I bring you a review of one of my skincare staples, Freeman's Avocado and Oatmeal Clay Mask!

I've had this mask for about a year and it still hasn't run out! I use this religiously during the Summer months in my oily areas like my T-zone, on my chin and the tops of my cheeks where my pores get huge when its warm outside.

Here's what my skin looks like when I wake up in the morning:

As you can see I'm dealing with some pretty nasty breakouts and some clogged pores around my nose. The heat mixed with not drinking any water overnight causes my oil production to shift to overdrive when I'm sleeping!

To apply this mask I use a flat foundation brush because they are the perfect size to spread out the product on my face and I just don't use them for makeup! I just squeeze some of the mask onto the brush and spread it out.

Here's what my skin looks like after I wash off my face:

This mask makes my skin cleaner (obviously!) and brighter! It feels so good when I wash it off and see nice bright skin and toned down breakouts!

This mask completely absorbs the oil around my nose, tones down the redness of my breakouts AND leaves my skin super soft!

It also completely dries up new pimples, so that is a bonus!

If I were judging this mask in a talent competition, I would give it a 10/10 because it works so well! Also this product for the price is well worth it! This works just as well as high end skincare but is priced around $4-5!

Okay, those were my thoughts on Freeman's Avocado and Oatmeal Clay Mask! Let me know if you also love this mask and what other masks you are loving! I'm always in search of good skincare!

As always feel free to reach out to me on my social media! ALSO I'm going to have a GIVEAWAY on my Facebook page once it reaches 100 likes, so be sure to go over there and like my page!

I hope you all have a wonderful day and that its not raining where you live because its very dark and gloomy here! :)

My Eyebrow Routine!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm going to show you how I fill in my brows (when I'm actually motivated to!) to look more put together but still natural.

Like I said I don't always want to do my brows and I'm not saying you have to, this is just what I do when I want a little extra oomph to my makeup look!

I only use a few products to fill in my brows, I wish it were less products, but my brows are so sparse at the moment, they need extra love!

I start out by brushing through my brows with my ELF "Essential Eyelash and Brow Wand" to make sure they're all neat and tidy.

Then I go in with my ELF Treat and Tame in "Medium". I brush this through my brows and let it dry. If I missed any spots or think one brow could use a bit more help I'll go back and touch up.

Once that's done, I'll pull out my matte eyeshadow palette from Hard Candy and dip my ELF "Small Precision Brush" into the cool brown shadow. I'll put this all over my brows to set the gel I just applied and to make the color seem like it matches a bit better!

After this I go back in with my spoolie brush to make sure everything's blended together and looks natural, and I'm done!

You're probably wondering why I don't use a brow gel and that's because I don't like how they make my brows feel stiff and look unnatural.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and use my tips! If you haven't already, head over to my Facebook page and "like" it! Once I hit 100 likes, I will be hosting a massive beauty GIVEAWAY!

Have a great day!
